Asian Beacon is forging ahead and touching lives. In line with its 40th anniversary celebrations in September 2008, the magazine has undergone a revamp. Now sold in major public bookstores, its circulation has been raised to 10,000 copies per issue. On March 21, 2008, Asian Beacon held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its office. The following have been elected as members of the Executive Committee (2009/2010):
Asian Beacon has assumed a new image since 2008. Some readers have commented about it: “new look,” “revival,” “more refreshing”. With a new creative team, the artwork has seen improvements in design and colour scheme. We also strive to improve on the quality of the articles. Made simple and readable for the masses, the articles tend to steer away from a highly theological or intellectual stance. We hope the magazine’s positive values and inspiring testimonies will touch your life to the extent that you may want to share it with others. After reading it, you may want to lend it or give it away; or even get a gift subscription for your friends or relatives. A recent development is the distribution of sponsored copies of past issues to various hair-dressing salons, clinics, prisons, campuses and cafés.
